John Murphy, Sr. Vice President
John joined CASI in 1996 as a principal consultant to the financial services industry. John enjoys helping clients solve their operational and technology issues. Since 2004 John has managed CASI product support and program maintenance. John specializes in custom data-download interfaces, data conversions between systems, custom database application programming, and custom reports. He recently completed an Advisors Assistant to Portfolio Center conversion, two new dbCAMS+ import interfaces for RBC Dain Rauscher and Smith Barney, a dbCAMS+ to GOLDMINE owner and asset conversion using Investment Gold Bridge import process, and several custom spreadsheet import interfaces to dbCAMS+. John has done data conversions between most major portfolio software systems. He has worked with Advent AXYS, Advisors Assistant, Broker’s Ally, Broker's Notebook, Portfolio Center (formerly CENTERPIECE), Client Data Systems (CDS) E-Z Data, Morningstar Principia CAMS (formerly FCSI dbCAMS+), TechFi PORTFOLIO and others. John has over 7 years prior experience with an independent retail-brokerage and financial planning office. His key responsibilities included the management of computing and network systems, portfolio tracking systems, client and business reporting, customer service, compliance, and staff supervision. John implemented data downloads from major broker/dealers utilizing FCSI’s dbCAMS+ system. John founded the Maryland Area dbCAMS+ Usergroup in 1996.

Dick Welsh, President
Dick founded Custom Advisor Solutions, Inc. (CASI) in 1993 to provide systems consulting and to develop software for the financial services industry. CASI has provided software solutions for thousands of Financial Planning firms across the country. Dick spent 2001 designing a state-of-the-art web based platform for the financial industry as part of a startup company. Prior to founding CASI, Dick was the managing Director of a 14-employee Financial Planning/ Investment Management firm. He was responsible for Information Systems development and management, Marketing, Human Resources, Accounting, Compliance, Regulatory Filings and Business Planning. Dick was an executive with a Fortune 100 company for 20 years prior to joining the financial industry. His background included the project management of large operational computer systems with project budget exceeding $75 million. Dick also managed a six-state, 200 person Sales and Service Center organization for a $430 million strategic business unit of the company.
